Ash & Plumb
Material: Woodwork | Location: East Sussex
Ash & Plumb was created in June 2020 by Sussex-based artists in wood Barnaby Ash & Dru Plumb, born out of a desire to honour naturally sustainable materials crafting unique and sculptural works that breathe life into the living spaces they inhabit.
Passionate about honouring natural materials through the traditional craft of woodturning, they work with locally and sustainably sourced British timbers, often processing responsibly felled greenwood logs to create unique forms that characterfully warp during the drying process.
They have previously worked with the Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh, including for their first solo exhibition in December 2021 as well as showing works at Collect Art Fair in Somerset House February 2022 and most recently the Crafts Council showcase at Liberty of London.
Barnaby & Dru operate out of their small barn workshop on the South Downs just outside of Brighton where they live with their two retrievers, Alfie & Oscar.
