PSS Workshops 2014/15: Mike Badger

Recycled Sculptures with Family Impact

Wednesday 6 August & Tuesday 26 August 2014

Mike Badger led this workshop with the children during the summer holiday, to encourage them to use their imagination and turn recycled materials into sculptures of insects. Each of the young participants made 3 – 4 ornamental recycled sculptures from reclaimed materials, including little insects, bedroom signs, cars and animals.

“The children thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and gained a lot from them. They engaged extremely well and as an activity it helped with their concentration levels. The activities really showed some of their creative sides… They were amazed by what they could make from the materials available. The activities where run in a very relaxed manner, they could do as much or a little as they wanted, and worked well with Mike, the lead artist.”
