2025 Projects

Our collaboration with The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust has continued into 2025, and we are delighted to have been commissioned once again to deliver a new series of long-term artist residencies as part of the ‘Arts in Health Programme’.

Residencies organised by the Bdc include printmaking with Karen Edwards and ceramics with Jo Williams. Running over approximately six months, each residency will involve the artists delivering four hours of activity on alternate weeks, introducing art and craft techniques to patients, relatives, clinicians, volunteers, and staff.

During 2024/25, we have been awarded funding by the Ulrike Michal Foundation for the Arts for three window installations, showcasing the work of local and emerging artists and key events in the city: Liverpool Pride 2024, Chinese New Year 2025 and World Earth Day 2025.

The Liverpool Pride 2024 window installation was awarded to Simon Dredge. Simon is an English ceramic artist whose work explores the impact of history in shaping our cultural understanding.

Local ceramicist Jacob Chan was ‘In the Window’ from 14 January- 10 February, to celebrate Lunar New Year 2025. Jacob developed a new body of work specially for this window installation entitled ‘Zodiac’

To celebrate World Earth Day makers Flod and Christoph Kurzmann, were ‘In the Window’ for the month of April 2025 , to celebrate World Earth Day on 22nd April 2025.
