We recommend visitors use our entrance on College Lane, as the Bluecoat Arts Centre opening hours may vary, particularly on Mondays when the main Bluecoat building is closed.

Our online shop will continue to be available for customers to place orders 7 days a week and we will fulfil and dispatch orders during our opening hours between Monday – Saturday. We always endeavor to dispatch orders promptly, however orders placed on a Friday afternoon or Saturday may not be dispatched until the following Monday to ensure the safety of the work during weekend postal services.

Please note the last posting date for online orders to arrive for Christmas is 19th December 2024

If there is anything you are interested in that does not currently feature online and you are unable to visit the gallery in person, please do get in touch by email at crafts@bluecoatdisplaycentre.com and we can help source pieces by request.

Accessibility

The gallery has step free access from both School Lane (at the front of the building) and College Lane (at the rear of the building). Access through the Bluecoat from School Lane is only available from Tuesday – Sunday, between 11am and 5pm, and includes ramps. Therefore we always recommend visitors use our entrance on College Lane, which is open Monday – Sunday from 10am – 5.30pm and is both step-free and ramp-free.

We regularly welcome both wheelchair and mobility scooter users to the gallery, and aim to keep all passageways clear and accessible for all of our visitors. The door width to enter the gallery is 33 inches.

The gallery is step-free with the exception of a central well area. If you would like to see anything from this area of the gallery during your visit, please ask a member of staff who will be happy to help.

Public toilet facilities are available in the Bluecoat, between Tuesday – Sunday from 11am – 5pm. Please be aware that we do not have restrooms in the gallery.
