New Makers 2022

12 January – 26 February 2022

Part of Celebrating Craft

Featuring recent graduates and emerging makers working across a range of disciplines and media, this show highlights the ‘makers to watch’.

The last two years have been particularly challenging for makers leaving further and higher education courses and setting up studios. Bluecoat Display Centre has always supported new makers and we felt this year, more then ever, we should spotlight the talented creatives starting out.

We would like to thank GNCCF ‘Changing Spaces’ curator Michelle Keeling and Great Northern Events for their invaluable support with this curated display.

Makers include:

Textiles by Vivienne Beaumont

Ceramics by Phoebe Ho, Sarah Kirk, Anne Knight & Jean White

Mixed media by John O’Loughlin, Marged Owain & Keeley Traae

Metal by Ella McIntosh

A curated selection of work is available through our online shop.
