DeeLyn Walsh
Material: Jewellery | Location: Merseyside
Inspired by the urban surroundings of day-to-day city life, DeeLyn’s work is architectural and geometric at its core. She creates bold and tactile wearable structures, which can also stand alone as miniature sculptures and are often interactive or convertible, inviting the wearer to manipulate the piece to best suit them. Working primarily in sterling silver and using traditional silversmith techniques, she also enjoys playing with alternative materials when possible - recycled guitar string, pyrite, cast resin have been included in previous work.
DeeLyn is an award winning jewellery artist based in Liverpool. Originally from America, she resettled and trained in the UK, earning a Bachelors of Design First Class with Honours in 2010, specialising in metalwork/jewellery and also ceramics. She has been working as a self-employed studio jeweller ever since.
Her jewellery collections are exhibited in many top UK galleries, as well as internationally.
