I see my paper jewellery as miniature paintings, wearable art. The papers are hand painted, gilded and embossed using various media and metal leaf then composed into abstract earrings and brooches. Each piece is individual and unique.

Currently the papers I have painted have been influenced by the stunning scenery around my Devon home and as a consequence have a landscape or seascape look with a hint of sunlight glimmering on sea, grass blowing in the wind, a storm on the horizon. I try to capture the changing light and mood on the landscape, quite a challenge in such small work.

All work is lacquered for protection.
