Ken originally studied printed textiles at Liverpool polytechnic before going on to the RCA to do a Masters in ceramics and glass. On completing is MA Ken set up his studio in London where he worked until moving to Brighton where he is now based.
Ken’s range of functional ceramics are hand built in earthern ware clay, which once bisq fired are then decorated using hand cut stencils and underglaze colours.
Since his days studying textiles Ken’s love of strong colours and bold design have been a feature of his work, and this is still true today.
