My work is a continuous exploration of form and colour. For a long time, I made vessel forms, lately they have developed into closed sculptural objects. Pushing clay slabs into forms that express the materials malleability, contrasting with the sharp edges of the severe cuts into the solid block forms.

As with all my work these pieces are experimental, each piece a moment in a long period of exploration.

Each piece is slab built, with surface patina resulting from multiple layers of engobe or coloured slips. Numerous firings take place until the desired depth of surface colour and texture is reached.
