Philippa Dutton
Material: Jewellery | Location: Lincolnshire
After studying at Trent Art School, Philippa started by making flower brooches cut from old printed cake tins. She went on to develop a wide range of work and specialised in wire lampshades. She sold in Paris, Tokyo, New York, as well as Harvey Nichols, Liberty and Paul Smith in London.
Wanting a change she bought some silver wire and asked a friend to teach her the millefiori technique in order to make her own beads. Strips of pliable material are layered, rolled into tubes and sliced. The result is colourful light and attractive jewellery which is very affordable.
Philippa makes delicate jewellery using only sterling silver, millefiori and Swarovski crystals. She has created contemporary jewellery for over 20 years, selling nationally and internationally.
