Pottery West is the ceramics studio of Catherine and Matt West. Based in Sheffield, we design and make our range of ceramic tableware and homeware.

Our methods of making are traditional, using the wheel and minimal tools to create our forms; mixing oxides and raw materials to compose our glazes.

The process of making wheel-thrown tableware is relatively slow-paced and repetitive. In these processes we find a sense of space and calm, a feeling of which we hope translates into the finished pieces.
