Tara Squibb has lived on the Powis Castle estate for over 25 years, an idyllic, quiet remote location in the heart of Wales. Her ceramic work greatly influenced by surrounding landscapes, the natural world and geology, taking inspiration from natures surfaces and textures to create wheel thrown and hand-built pieces with individual characteristics.

Graduating from Wrexham Glyndwr University in 2017 with a BA Hons 1st in Applied Arts, she has recently completed an MA in Art Practice, investigating the highlighting properties of a mediaeval, alternative firing technique and creating ceramic forms using blacksmithing techniques she has adapted for use within her work.
