Working from my studio in Cellardyke, Fife I make sawdust fired pots and coloured stoneware tableware. The inspiration for my work comes from stones found along the sea shore. I love the different mix of colours and shapes you find together which I try to reflect with my pots.

My work is all thrown on the wheel. For the pots I use slip resists to create patterns and textures on burnished pots which are then sawdust fired in a variety of wood shavings from oak to pine. My work is influenced by natural patterns, colours and forms found in and beside the sea.

I have been working as a potter in Scotland for over 20 years. I am professional member of the Craft Potters Association, London, and have a degree in Sculpture from Edinburgh College of Art. I have recently added knitwear and oilskin bags to my range of work.
