Since leaving Edinburgh College of Art in 1998, I have been making small batches of functional ceramics for the table and home. I work from my garden studio on the north Kent coast, throwing most of my work on the wheel using porcelain clay.

I use tactile glazes in a palette of muted colours. The pieces are robust enough to be held, filled, drunk out of and eaten from, and nothing gives me more pleasure than to see my work become part of everyday living in others’ homes.
